Heat therapy is often used by acupuncturists to promote circulation and induce the smooth flow of "qi" and blood.
The Biomat, placed on the treatment table, is used in conjunction with acupuncture sessions and is found to offer the following benefits: Alleviate all forms of arthritic pain; Reduce muscle spasms and joint stiffness; Lower blood pressure; Minimize pain and side effect of cancer therapy; Relieve stress and fatigue; reinforce immune system; Improve microcirculation and lymph flow, delivering more oxygen to tissues while eliminating toxins and cellular waste.
Electro stimulation involves the application of gentle electric current by attaching small leads to acupuncture needles.
This enhances the stimulation or desired effect for the treatment.
It is frequently used with painful, chronic conditions but can be applied for a number of ailments such as muscle spasms and neurological disorders.
It is important to let your acupuncturist know if you have history of seizures/epilepsy, heart disease, pacemaker insertion during your initial intake and review of medical history.
