I'm a state certified and nationally licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. With over 2000 clinical training hours in addition to my practice, I strive to provide the most gentle yet effective treatment for a variety of health issues. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are holistic medicines that consider the whole person in diagnosis and treatment, therefore you may notice an improvement in areas other than what you come in for, in addition to an overall feeling of wellness.

Please contact me with any questions you may have, and if cost is a consideration there are options available. According to the American Sleep Association (ASA), approximately 50-70 million Americans suffer from some type of sleep disorder. The ASA reports that insomnia is the most common specific sleep disorder, with short term issues reported by about 30% of adults and chronic insomnia by 10%.

Practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese medicine have used this noninvasive treatment method to help millions of people become well and stay well.
Acupuncture promotes natural healing.
It can enhance recuperative power and immunity, support physical and emotional health, and improve overall function and well-being.
It is a safe, painless and effective way to treat a wide variety of medical problems.
At the core of this ancient medicine is the philosophy that Qi (pronounced "chee"), or vital energy, flows throughout the body.
Acupuncture has been employed as a health care modality for over 5,000 years.
Modern science has begun to understand the secrets of this ancient medicine with the support of new studies conducted by leading scientists, hospitals and medical research facilities from all over the world.
Today, acupuncture is receiving wide acceptance as a respected, valid and effective form of health care.
In a systematic review published by Spine Journal, acupuncture has been shown to have significantly favorable effects on chronic low back pain.
Initial visits generally last from 30 to 90 minutes.
Your acupuncturist will take a detailed health history, perform a physical exam, and provide you with your unique treatment plan.
During your first exam, your acupuncturist will spend time getting to know you and your health concerns.
You may be asked a wide range of questions about your symptoms, eating, exercise, sleep habits, emotional states and anything that may offer insight into your health.
Your practitioner will also employ diagnostic tools that are unique to acupuncture and TCM such as tongue and pulse diagnosis.
Gathering this information enables the practitioner to effectively diagnose and detect any specific imbalances of Qi that may have contributed to a persons health problems.
The practitioner can then create a well-structured treatment plan.
Once the imbalances of Qi are detected, an acupuncturist will place fine, sterile needles at specific acupoints along meridian pathways.
This safe and painless insertion of the needles can unblock the obstruction and balance Qi where it has become unbalanced.
