Full Moon Acupuncture
The philosophy of the clinic is one of empowerment through the art of Chinese Medicine. Our holistic treatments not only relieve symptoms, but help identify the root causes of illness. Together we work to identify the choices and patterns of disharmony that contribute to your illness and discomfort. Full Moon Acupuncture offers a variety of services to begin and support the healing process.

Our tools include Acupuncture, Chinese Massage (Tui Na), Qi Gong, Chinese Nutrition, and Herbs, and we carefully choose the right combination to your unique symptoms. We don't just ease symptoms, but we begin a process that allows you to break the cycle of illness. We enjoy seeing kids in our practice. We love the way they respond to acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Chinese Medicine offers solutions that work with a child to stimulate healing and make the body stronger. My pregnancies and our children served as inspiration for developing the style of treatment we use to take care of the kids that come to our practice.

Jacqueline Luna-Knapp was born into a family of island herbalists and shamans.
However, she came to natural medicine later in life trying to treat her own lingering injury.
She has spent over 20 years studying many different forms of traditional and alternative medicines and have found Chinese Medicine to be the most consistent, most holistic, and most powerful form of medicine to promote harmony and healing in our bodies.
She really enjoys working with children, using a practical method which she honed while working with her own kids.
You will sit down privately with us to discuss the primary reasons for your visit.
We will ascertain a comprehensive health history, including but not limited to family health history, lifestyle, and daily habits.
Your pulse, tongue, abdomen, skin, eyes, and spirit will be evaluated.
Based on these observations, a Differential Pattern Diagnosis will be constructed.
You will then receive your first acupuncture treatment which will consist of (or for children, a combination of Chinese therapeutic massage (Tui Na), acupressure, Qi Gong healing techniques, Tui Na, moxibustion, Gua Sha, cupping, electrostimulation, color light therapy, herbal formulas, and Chinese nutritional counseling.
Corresponds to Fire in the 5 Phases.
It represents the Spirit (Shen), the force which gives life to matter and form.
In human beings, Heart Spirit gives life to the physical body, the energy body, the emotions and the mind.
It allows us to experience unity and communion with all life.
It governs the vessels.
Its emotion is Joy.
It is likened to the heat of summer, when the universe thrives.
Its color is red.
Fire controls Metal and engenders Earth.
Corresponds to Earth in the 5 Phases.
It represents the Intellect (Yi - the analytical mind and contemplation), and the solid matter that the Spirit enlivens; and through which it manifests.
In order to make wonderful memories, take action.
Without action, you cannot have good memories, good experiences, or growth.
Those who "just do it" know energy and trust in the pervasive presence of divine consciousness.
When thinking gets mixed in, action gets diluted and energy doesn't get supplied to your goals and dreams.
Planning and thinking are two different things.
Here, "thinking" refers to needless worries and idle thoughts that take energy for themselves and keep it trapped in an endless cycle that doesn't go anywhere.
As parents we undoubtedly love our children.
But sometimes we spoil them by overfeeding them.
We want "chubby" children as babies and then worry about how much weight they've gained as they start to grow.
The kids are fed high protein foods, high energy foods and too much energy is placed on feeding them high nourishing foods.
There's a saying in Chinese medicine "You cannot build the body on one mouthful of food."
Thus, because a child's digestive system is inherently weak and immature, if they are overfed/overloaded, their entire system will be compromised.
