To put it plainly, women's health is complex. The female body involves a complicated combination of systems that are intimately interrelated, and science is really just beginning to recognize the impact that hormonal imbalances can have on cardiovascular health, digestive health, sleep, mood and mental focus.

One of the wonderful effects of holistic medicine in general, and acupuncture specifically, is that, with the improved health of the whole body and interrelated systems, many positive effects occur, including successful weight management.

We don't double book appointment times, and we generally don't see more than 2 patients per hour.
LA Herbs and Acupuncture is proud to serve our patients as a low volume office.
This means that we do not over-book our schedules (a common practice in many acupuncture clinics), allowing us to offer ample time for both new and follow up appointments.
We do our very best to stay on schedule, and your booked appointment is time reserved for you exclusively.
Because of this, last minute missed appointments represent a significant loss to our center and our practitioners, in addition to preventing another patient from taking the slot if ample notice is not given.

Acupuncture needles are tiny and flexible, not at all like hypodermic needles used to give "shots, " and generally produce less sensation than a mosquito bite.
It is considered normal to occasionally experience a heavy or mildly aching sensation in the area surrounding an acupuncture point.
It is important to tell your practitioner right away if you are experiencing sharp pain or a burning sensation after the acupuncture needle has been inserted.
Occasionally patients report feeling light-headed, dizzy, sleepy, euphoric, or nauseous after a treatment.
