Illnesses fall into one of three categories. The first is traumatic. The second and more prevalent manner in which illness develops is via a body being receptive to infection. The third and increasingly prevalent category of illness is called functional. A healing reaction (also called a 'healing crisis' or 'detox') is a temporary worsening of existing symptoms or an occurrence of new symptoms as your body becomes healthier.

A healing reaction, although sometimes unpleasant, is a positive sign of improved function in the body. If one fails to eat properly, cope successfully with emotional stress, exercise and do those things that promote an elevated resistance to body dysfunction, then one, in effect, could cause his/her own in health.

Owner of Ming's Acupuncture; formally trained in China, graduated as an M.D. and an O.M.D., and has over 30 years of clinical practice experience.
While studying western medicine at the Harbin Medical University, Dr. Ani questioned the techniques of modern western medicine, and thought that there must be a better way for patients to reach their full potential and well-being.
After graduation in 1982, she practiced western medicine for several years and then decided to go back to school and studied Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine at the Chinese medical school.
Traditional Acupuncture - Acupuncture treats health conditions by stimulating "acu-points" found at specific locations on the surface of the body.
Traditional Chinese Medicine - a comprehensive natural health care system that has been used in Asian countries for thousands of years to preserve health and diagnose, treat and prevent illness.
Herbal Medicine- The use of Chinese herbs goes hand in hand with acupuncture and is an essential part of Oriental Medicine.
Massages - Our technique, Tui Na, uses rhythmic compression along energy channels of the body, as well as a variety of techniques that manipulate and lubricate the joints.
Acupuncture has helped billions of people and has been the primary source of health care in China for more than 2,500 years.
This system of health care is based on the principle that to be healthy, tissues and organs need proper supply of blood and oxygen and nutrients the blood carries.
Over 2,000 specific points have been mapped out where a block in flow of blood can occur.
These points often are where nerves and vessels meet.
A method of diagnosing which points to treat to increase the flow of blood allows the trained acupuncturist to get results with all types of health problems.
